Course Updates(1)

Hello 3D Printing learners!

The 3D Printing Revolution course now has 8,982 Visitors, 5,544 Learners & 499 Graduates! Congratulations to all of our course completers and good luck to those who are near the finish. If you are one of our 499 graduates, you should check out our new course 3D Printing Applications which dives into different ways people are revolutionizing the process of designing, making, distributing, and selling products. The course will introduce you to some of the fascinating ways people around the globe are using 3D Printing such as through bioprinting, 3D Printing circuits, building bionic hands, and the crowd favorite: 3D Printing food. You’ll even get an introduction to the design thinking framework which will help you create your own 3D Printed creations later on.

Amsterdam 3D Printing Show

I will be visiting Europe at the end of June to attend the 2016 Additive Manufacturing Europe Show in Amsterdam and also plan on holding a Learner Meetup Dinner. I may be able to get a few showroom passes for our Learners. If you are interested in attending this event, please respond to this thread.

The Meetup Dinner will be held in Amsterdam at Thrill Grill at 7pm on Sunday, June 26. If you are interested in attending, please respond to this thread.

More Meet Ups!

As part of my European trip, I also plan on visiting Grenoble, France and Turin, Italy. If anyone is interested in meeting up in either city, please respond to the Grenoble and Turin discussion threads.

Video Chats with Industry Experts

3D Printing in Space with Morgan Saletta

On Friday, June 17 at 5 PM (CDT), I will be hosting a webinar discussion with Morgan Saletta. Morgan teaches at the University of Melbourne in Australia and recently wrote an interesting article about 3D Printing in Space. During this webinar, we will be discussing this article and exploring this fascinating application of 3D Printing in more detail. You will also have the opportunity to ask Saletta questions. If you’re unable to make it, the chat will be recorded and posted in our blog and on Facebook. I hope you can join us for this discussion.

3D Printing News

In case you missed it, Hewlett-Packard recently released a new 3D Printer. This printer is about the size of a large photocopier and costs over $100,000. Thus, it is certainly not desktop. However, it does offer faster printing speed and the ability to make multi-color objects. Its initial customers include BWM, Nike and Johnson & Johnson. One more sign that the Revolution is just around the corner!
